Hi, we have lost our Cloudbit micro SD card. Do you have a recommended capacity or is there a max capacity that can be read?
I checked my original SD card and the capacity is 4 Gb.
Realize however that the SD card on a cloud bit is not just a blank card though. It holds the OS for the on-board processor. The code image is posted here somewhere …
Hi guys. I lost an SD card in November and @theodore_littlebits sent me this:

I’m sorry to hear about that. I think you may have accidentally wiped your cloudBit microSD card. You can replace the image on the card by inserting into your computer and following these directions- but the process can be tricky, please let us know if you have any problems or questions along the way, and if you do not feel comfortable completing these steps then let us know and we will work to get you a functional cloudBit.
You may download the cloudBit image available here: https://www.dropbox.com/l/KzkhRGDdq3wcIECQGIn1Ls
For whatever type of computer you have- the file needs to be extracted and then the image file needs to be restored to the microSD card.
Instructions for Ubuntu:
load 4G SD card into Ubuntu 14.10 box
select Applications->System Tools->Perferences->Disks
select the 4G device
select Restore Image from the menu
wait till image restored, select eject from menu
load card into cloudbits
Instructions for a Windows machine:
I suggest using Win32DiskImager. They have pretty detailed instructions in the download on how to use the program.
Instructions for a Mac:
There is a good setup guide here: https://alltheware.wordpress.com/2012/12/11/easiest-way-sd-card-setup/. It involves using a simple freeware program that is primarily used for Raspberry Pi users.
Please let me know if this works for you or if you have any questions.

Thanks for all the responses. The image download link seems to have expired. @theodore_littlebits can you repost?
Here is the updated link for the image:: https://download.littlebitscloud.cc/firmware/cloudBit/w20-cloud-133-227-1.0.150603a-USERUPDATE.img.zip
Please note, the instructions that I had posted are generally for advanced users only. If anyone has trouble, let me know through email @ support@littleBits.cc.
Thanks guys! Also, I don’t know of an upward limit of microSD card size - it might be 256Gb. 4Gb is standard minimum for our cloudBits.
