I have been working on an arcade game invention. The game is designed for two players. One player chooses pink, and the other chooses yellow. They take turns rolling a marble down a forking path. If the marble reaches the pink planet, the player who chose pink gets a point. If the marble reaches the yellow planet, the player that chose yellow gets a point. If the marble lands in a black hole, neither player gets a point.
I am having some trouble, though. My idea was to put a pressure sensor inside each planet. When the marble rolled over the sensor, an LED on top of that planet would light up. This did not work in practice because the marble is too lightweight for the pressure sensor to detect.
I tried cutting a hole in the surface beneath each pressure sensor, so that the marble would fall into the hole, and exert more pressure as it fell past the sensor. This did not work either. Any suggestions?
