I am making a cute Halloween ghost that is "afraid of the dark". An LED on the ghost is supposed to blink when it gets dark. My circuit is power + threshold + light sensor + pulse + LED.
The knob on the threshold is turned all the way to the right. The light sensor is in dark mode, and its sensitivity is turned all the way to the left. I assumed that with these settings, the room would have to be very dark for the light to blink.
However, the light blinks even when the light in my room is on. The lighting in my room is somewhat poor, but it is not dark. The same thing happened when my room had only natural lighting during the day. The LED also continues to blink when when I shine a bright flashlight on the light sensor. Any suggestions? Is my light sensor broken?
