I'm working on a Halloween project inspired by the fridge scene from Ghost Busters (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFZPhf5p-BU) and I find I could use some input.
I'm going to disable the interior light in my fridge and use a light sensor bit to trigger the circuit when the fridge opens. When the door is opened, the MP3 bit will play the famous "Zuul" line, and turn on the RGB LED bit so the whole fridge gets a creepy green glow.
What I could use some input on are the following:
- Is there a bit to set the LED's to flash or is the only solution there to use an Arduino and custom code like in this discussion?
- It would be awesome if I could figure out how to emit some kind of mist/smoke within the fridge. The easy, one-off solution would be to put a tiny bit of dry-ice in the fridge in advance but I wonder if something like a small heating element with a drop of vegetable oil could be wired into the circuit.
- If you have other ideas for how to improve the project, I'm all ears.
